Vrijdag 27 februari is café Den Herdenbergher in Hardenberg de locatie voor een voorronde van het Nederlands Amateur Kampioenschap Poker (NAKP). Verspreid over heel Nederland worden er meer dan zestig voorrondes gespeeld en de nummers één en twee van die avond plaatsen zich voor de grote finale in Ermelo. Ook in Hardenberg kunnen pokerliefhebbers meedoen om zich te plaatsen voor de grote finale. “Want wat is er nou leuker dan legaal pokeren in je eigen regio?” De speellocatie wordt omgetoverd tot een ware pokerroom en de deelnemers gaan spelen om de pokerkampioen van de gemeente te worden. De winnaar van deze voorronde mag dan een jaar lang de titel Amateur Poker Kampioen van de gemeente Hardenberg dragen en krijgt een mooie beker. Daarnaast kwalificeert diegene zich, net als de nummer twee van die avond, voor de landelijke finale. “Wij zijn enorm blij dat café Den Herdenbergher de speellocatie is voor de regio Hardenberg, omdat het een gezellige tent is”, legt Mathijs Jonkers, organisator van het NAKP, uit. “Een goede sfeer is belangrijk voor een gezellig toernooi en dat is Den Herdenbergher wel toevertrouwd.”
Laagdrempelig toernooi: Iedereen die mee wil doen, kan zich via de website www.NAKP.nl inschrijven. Het kost iedere deelnemer slechts tien euro aan inschrijfgeld om mee te doen. “Door mee te doen, krijgen zij niet alleen de kans om een gooi te doen naar de titel Nederlands Amateur Kampioen van Nederland, maar ook de kans om een leuk, laagdrempelig toernooi te spelen”, vervolgt Jonkers. “Er wordt dus niet om geld gespeeld, maar puur om de eer. We willen pokeren naar iedere regio toebrengen en we zijn blij dat de pokeraars in de regio Didam kunnen meedoen. Wat is er nou leuker dan legaal pokeren in je eigen regio?” De voorronde in Hardenberg begint om 20:00 uur. Inschrijven op de locatie is ook mogelijk.
