Door de COVID-19-maatregelen van het kabinet zijn de mogelijkheden om het rijbewijs te verlengen beperkt. Om te voorkomen dat mensen hierdoor in de problemen komen, heeft minister Van Nieuwenhuizen (Infrastructuur en Waterstaat) besloten dat er een tijdelijke oplossing komt: alle rijbewijzen die (zijn) verlopen in de periode vanaf 16 maart, blijven geldig tot 1 juni 2020. Dat schrijft de minister vandaag in een brief aan de Tweede Kamer.
