Stöppelhaene laat weten dat de immens populaire rockband Kensington donderdag 24 augustus 2017 als één van de hoofdacts op het podium zal staan in Raalte. De organisatie van het Sallandse Oogstfeest is erg blij dat ze nu al de eerste band bekend kunnen maken. Meer namen ullen de komende maanden nog bekend worden gemaakt. Kaarten voor het donderdagavondprogramma van Stöppelhaene zijn nu al online te koop via deze link. Zaterdag 10 december 9:00 uur start ook de voorverkoop bij Schulten Lederwaren in Raalte en alle Primera winkels.
Kensington is hot! In 2017 is de band onder andere headliner op Paaspop, Concert at Sea en strandfestival Zand en staat de band November volgend jaar vijf keer in een nu al compleet uitverkochte Ziggodome. Kensington is zonder twijfel de grootste band van Nederland op dit moment, volgens velen de grootste band die ons land ooit heeft gekend. Met onder andere Home Again, Let Go, Streets en War scoorde de band hit na hit, en bouwde daarnaast een ongekende livereputatie op. Een show die je moet zien!
Control
Het onlangs uitgebrachte album ‘Control’ scoort hoog in de hitlijsten en laat horen wat er gebeurt als Kensington geen controle probeert te houden. Dan maakt de band de meest ambitieuze en intense plaat uit hun carrière. Alle teksten zijn geschreven door zanger Eloi Youssef. Hij schrijft en zingt persoonlijker dan ooit te voren. ‘Ik put de inspiratie voor mijn teksten niet alleen uit mijn eigen leven, maar ook uit dat van mensen om me heen en van generatiegenoten.’ Het is de meest extreme plaat van de band in hun meer dan tienjarige bestaan, met rustige en kleinste liedjes (Storms) en hardste rocksongs (St. Helena). Met Edisons, MTW Awards, 3FM Awards, platina en gouden platen in hun rugzak is Kensington klaar voor 2017. Het belooft een topjaar te worden met vele hoogtepunten, waaronder het optreden op ’t Stöppelveld met Stöppelhaene.
Kaartverkoop: De 66ste editie van Stöppelhaene vindt volgend jaar plaats van 23 t/m 27 augustus 2017.
De voorverkoop van kaarten voor het donderdagavondprogramma met onder andere Kensington start woensdag 7 december om 9:00 uur via de website. De voorverkoop van kaarten bij de lokale voorverkoop adressen Schulten Lederwaren in Raalte en Primera winkels start op zaterdagochtend 10 december 9:00 uur. Kaarten kosten €25,-. Voor kinderen tot 15 jaar zijn er speciale kaarten te koop voor € 15,-. (prijzen exclusief servicekosten)
